Int’l travel expo in city expected to boost Cambodia-Lao-Vietnam tourism - 23/08
HCMC – The organizers of the annual International Travel Expo in HCMC expect the event in September will promote tourism in the Indochina countries of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam given stronger participation than previous editions.
Fifteen outstanding tour guides from travel agents across the country attended the final round of a contest held in Hanoi on August 15 by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to honour the profession and set standards for tourism.
Twenty years ago, Mui Ne in Binh Thuan Province was like a sleeping beauty that nobody knew about. It wasn’t until October 1995 when throngs of curious people came to Mui Ne to watch the solar eclipse that the tourism potential of this magnificent area was discovered and developed. On Thursday, Mui Ne is called “capital of resorts” with over 200 three to four-star resorts. It has become a favourite weekend retreat for foreign and local tourists.
Saigon – Phu Yen Tourism Joint Stock Company will on Friday open the VND90 billion four-star Saigon Phu Yen hotel in Phu Yen Province, which will be the second four-star hotel in the central locality.
