In time of the noontide prayer service, you will join a peculiar but solemn ceremony with the congregation attired in lively red, yellow, blue and white and chanting religious hymns, followed by a delicious lunch in Tay Ninh. Then return to Ho Chi Minh City, with a stop at the “underground village” in Cu Chi district, which was used by the guerillas during the Vietnam War. The town of My Tho lies on the left side of the Mekong River and just a two-hour drive from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. Visitors will enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River and then ride on a hand-rowed sampan through small inlets under a green canopy of water-coconut trees to catch a glimpse of the daily activities of the local people.
